The I.K.S. Paromar is an Bortasqu' War Cruiser, one of the sister ships to the I.K.S. Bortasqu' (first of its line); it is presently under the command of Captain Kelleth sutai-Amerex.

Bortasqu'-class Features
Similar to the Federation Odyssey-class, the Bortasqu'-class series of cruisers were designed with modularity in mind. As such, one Bortasqu' cruiser is often unlike all of the others. The Paromar is no exception to that rule.
Paromar is equipped with a standard cloaking device. The KDF have had trouble making a perfect cloak with a ship as massive as the Paromar, but it is usually sufficient to surprise unsuspecting vessels.
Paromar is also equipped with an auxiliary craft-an HoH'SuS-class bird of prey. This additional ship is attached to the stern of the Paromar and is undocked when the additional firepower is necessary, or in other circumstances where standard shuttles would be inappropriate. This ship is capable of short "warp hops" which make it a highly mobile opponent.
Paromar systems also include a subspace snare, which literally warps space between it and a target-and puts the target directly in the warship's path, making it easy pickings for the firepower on the ship.
The Paromar has a complement of Toron-class shuttles. The ship also has on board the IKS Hinraw, a DujHod Chariot, designated for the sole use of Captain sutai-Amerex.
Defense Systems
Paromar has a complex array of disruptor weapons. While beam arrays litter its aft, the fore features a set of polarized disruptor cannons and beam arrays. Paromar also boasts a Hargh'peng torpedo launcher in a forward firing bay, although engineers are working to replace the weapon with something more lethal.
The most lethal weapon in the arsenal, however, is a disruptor autocannon, a massive weapon that fires a rapid-pulse disruptor using a significant amount of the ship's power. In the right circumstances, it turns shields into cheese, and hull into scrap.
Paromar formerly utilized a full Aegis defense shield system, which links engines, deflector dish, and shields into an invulnerable bastion (or so the engineers claim). Due to upgrades in the engine systems, however, this shielding is somewhat more limited-although still formidable in its own right.
Engineering Systems
The Paromar uses an exotic warp core derived from the Solonae Dyson Sphere, which includes a special capacitor for weapons.
The engines of the ship have been modified heavily with Borg tech, with the assistance of Borg crew member "Six of Seven". This allows the Paromar to travel at transwarp velocities as a matter of course. Additionally, the ship is equipped with a quantum slipstream drive, allowing vast areas of space to be traversed in a fraction of the time it would take at top warp velocities. The ship is also equipped with technology allowing it to access the Klingon Empire's transwarp conduit network.
