Kelleth sutai-Amerex

Personality

Kelleth is not a model Klingon. He believes that Klingons in general aren't nearly as honorable a race as they'd like to think; the difference is that he embraces the fact that he is not the ideal of Honor. He's decided that Kahless was right: there is nothing more honorable than victory. The ends justify the means. Thus, enemies who attempt to prick his honor find that he can't be goaded that way; Kelleth is just as happy to end his enemies from afar rather than face to face, a disruptor rather than a bat'leth.

Biography

Kelleth's family was discommendated decades nearly two hundred years ago, and they were stripped even of their name along with a number of other families; the family history contends that they spoke out against discommendating Houses that had been afflicted by the Augment virus, although the official records in the Empire indicate that there was mass treason involved instead. Regardless, the family name was restored thanks to the actions of a young Klingon named Kelleth-who discovered a plot to kill the current Chancellor. Impressed by the young Klingon who was willing to put his life on the line for an Empire that shunned him, he was allowed to found a new line. Kelleth proudly took the name of his House, Amerex, and began to enter into the life of a Klingon warrior.

Over the years, he found that he had a knack for building things; thus, his training nudged him towards weapons construction. At the same time, his trainers felt he had what it took to command a starship. Accordingly, he was placed in command of a Bird-of-Prey, and let loose to see what he would do with it. After a number of successful kills, he was given further promotions all the way to Captain, where he was given command of the IKS Paromar, one of the first Bortasqu'-class vessels. Upon taking command, he affixed the honorific vestai to his name, and none could argue that he'd earned it. Eventually, he performed a number of great deeds that entitled him to upgrade his honorific to sutai.

Hobbies/Pastimes

Kelleth's engineering talents didn't just happen. He loves to tinker with stuff. Granted, it involves building things that tend to kill things, or blow things up, or even protect things, but the point is, he likes to fiddle. This preference for the smaller scale is why he never went into starship or starbase design-while he's capable of it, he much prefers to create things-weapons, mostly-with his hands.
