With the coming of the "Light versus Dark" event in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, I decided to whip up a new pair of characters-one Republic, one Imperial. Since the whole event centered on such moral choices, I went with the character types that most suited that sort of thing. For the Empire, I created Sorshan.

Personality
Sorshan grew up a slave. That informs a lot of her decisions as she advanced into the upper hierarchy of the Sith. She isn't interested in being needlessly cruel, not interested in the backstabbing and treachery that seems to pervade Sith life. Unsurprisingly, this means she tends to be emotionally vulnerable to the aforementioned backstabbing and treachery. That tends to be when her darker nature takes effect and she has no qualms about using her power to its utmost to end the threat. That said, she still errs towards mercy, compassion, and all those supposed "weaknesses" that a Sith isn't supposed to have.
She has a severe dislike for most Jedi, as they tend to attack first, ask questions later, with few exceptions. She is learning to see their point of view through one of her apprentices, though, and now believes that perhaps the Force is best understood somewhere in between the Sith and the Jedi.
Abilities
Sorshen, while definitely not a monster, is still making use of the Dark Side of the Force and its assorted abilities. For the most part, she has honed her ability to channel lightning, having decided early in her trials on Korriban that if you wanted to get things done, throw more lightning at it. She has become adept at using Force Lightning to rain down upon her enemies, or just throw enough lightning at a single target to put him down. She has neglected a number of the other Dark Side disciplines as a result-which may account for why she hasn't been corrupted yet; after all, lightning is a physical force, rather than the soul-crushing sort of abilities shown by other Dark-Siders.
Equipment
Sorshan eschews the use of most equipment to enhance her personal combat style, using only the Force and her lightsaber.
One major indulgence that she will literally kill to preserve is her possession of a Fury-class Imperial Interceptor, a gift from Darth Zash. To Sorshan, it represents the ultimate freedom: the freedom to go where she wishes, when she wishes. For a former slave, that means everything.

This character was developed for the SWTOR event, "Light versus Dark", and the character almost exclusively makes Light Side choices.
