Coreth Walker was my main character in EVE Online. The character had been originally purposed to be the leader of the corporation that some members from SWG joined for the short term while we waited for the release of Star Trek Online. My long term goals had been to have the character learn and fly freighters, but the sticker-shock involved with a) learning how to fly one, and b) actually purchasing one (not to mention c: the odds of it being blown up for giggles) had me focus on mining instead. The character trained up to use of Hulks eventually, and I even managed to get the character to the point of piloting (and purchasing) an Orca for the corporation.

Being who I am, of course, I also spent a great deal of time training up in exploration skills, most of which usually tended to be unused. I'd hoped to get one of the Sisters of Eve exploration cruisers, but their pricetag was inefficient, and the odds of my getting enough loyalty points with the SOE was looking pretty slim-so I began putting more effort into the battleships skills, specifically for the Megathron class ships. (An alt I had was mostly a drone-guy, and I wanted to do something different.) Over time, the character also picked up a number of other ancillary skills; in other words, the character is very much a generalist and not a specialist in anything. So while he doesn't excel at any one thing...he's reasonably decent at many.
