Mineral Man
Mineral Man is an example of where the powers are a bit more impressive than the name. It was better than a host of others I could think of, though. The character was a mutant, but as with many characters who were randomly rolled up, we got some strange combinations. The whole Darkforce thing is something I was never able to really come up with a good explanation for, so I fell back to "it just is". If I were to ever really come back to this sort of thing, I imagine this would be on the top of my list of things to try to work out.

Known Superhuman Powers: Mineral Man's main power is the ability to surround his body with a flexible, diamond shell, which gives him Incredible protection. It is unknown where the diamond comes from. He is also able to fly at 120 MPH, or Good speeds. Finally, he is able to fire out and control Darkforce with Remarkable skill.
Other Abilities: Rudrick is a businessman, as well as a physicist. He is also skilled in piloting.
