Star Trek OnlineIn some ways, this was the game that was supposed to bring a bunch of old friends back together again. When the Hyperspace Outlaws of Star Wars Galaxies closed its doors, we all kept saying we'd meet again when Star Trek Online came out. That didn't happen as strongly as one might have hoped, demonstrating that catching lightning in bottle twice is next to impossible. All of that said, however, I was able to experience the game in the Beta, and was a day-one lifetime subscriber (by which I mean, I bought one the first day it went up for purchase). While I've regretted a number of the business and development decisions that have gone into that game, it's still a game I enjoy out there on the Final Frontier.
Starfleet: Exploring Strange New WorldsThese characters are points of shining light-the captains of Starfleet. Each of them has their own special way of approaching problems, each trained in different skills, but all dedicated to seeking out new life and new civilizations-and to boldly go where no one has gone before!
Romulan Republic: Rising from the AshesThese characters are the future of the Romulan people-where once there was an Empire collapsing under the weight of tragedy and corruption, there must now be a Republic that stands for its people. Never before have the Romulans needed such heroes!
The Klingon Defense Force: Come, See, Conquer! Some see them as bloodthisty savages. Some recognize that these are warriors who crave battle with a worthy foe-for only in defeating such an opponent can bring a Klingon to glory, and a place in Sto-Vo-Kor! Qapla'!
Notable StarshipsNo captain stands alone. The captain is supported by a loyal crew and a mighty starship. These are some of the notable vessels and the legendary crews that serve aboard them! FleetsThere are Fleets in Star Trek Online (the game's equivalent of guilds), and I was privileged to be in prominent roles for the following fleets.
